This Self-Care Workshop is an in-depth group or individual activity for adult communities, whether you are coaching/counseling in a private practice, in a group coaching setting, or in a corporate wellness setting. This 30 to 45-minute presentation reviews what self-care really is, how wellness-culture influences what we think about self-care, the steps for mapping out one’s own self-care approach, and in-depth notes and discussion prompts to help the audience feel encouraged around self-care for wellbeing.
The presentation format is unbranded for you to fill in your company information. Each slide contains concise notes and bulleted information to help the presenter.
This presentation covers:
- A review of definitions of self-care
- How wellness culture has influenced our idea of self-care
- 4 steps to creating your own self-care routine
- Examples of self-care habits/activities under the categories of hygiene, environment, nutrition and lifestyle
- A slide to provide a personal self-care example (company/organization offering, private practice offer, local community activity, etc.)
- Discussion prompts for the audience to workshop throughout the presentation
- An exercise on deep breathing
- An intentional movement break
I’ve used this presentation in many corporate wellness settings, typically virtually as a “lunch & learn” session. I like to use the chat box to encourage the audience to share experiences and examples of their own self-care.Â
