It’s a LOT of info to take in, and your patients have questions! Do you have the resources ready?

Alpha gal syndrome is a commonly overlooked allergy caused by a tick bite. It’s an allergy to a sugar called galactose-α-1,3-galactose (alpha-gal) that is present in most mammalian meat. It’s a delayed allergy which can cause mild reactions, or symptoms as severe as anaphylaxis and death. Many doctors don’t test for it although it may affect 1% of people.

Are you prepared to help your patients with alpha gal? This can be a significant lifestyle change for patients, as many processed foods, medications, and even some vaccines may contain mammalian-derived ingredients.

But there’s more than just avoiding meat. The handouts include a range of diet and lifestyle factors that intensify or lessen reactions.

This kit provides:

  • Background details about alpha gal (2 pg)
  • Foods, meds, etc. to avoid and include
  • A shopping list (4 pages)
  • 50 easy recipes (4 pages)
  • 10 pages of info PLUS 2 cute cover pages

This product is *unbranded*, ready to go for any area of practice
