Whether your client is trying to lose weight, gain weight, or adjust to a new diagnosis such as cancer or diabetes, these handouts are how you can communicate nutrition goals with your client.
Two options included! A quantitative sheet, where calories and macronutrient amounts can be recommended – this may be better for an oncology patient needing to gain weight, or a new diabetes diagnosis needing to learn carbohydrate amounts. The second option is meal pattern based – leaving the numbers out of it! This is better for those clients that don’t want to count calories, or shouldn’t count calories – weight loss or eating disorder clients.

However…is it supposed to say MACRO not MICRO at top of page?

Hi Beth – thanks for the question!
Where it says “micro-nutrients of importance” is meant to be a separate section where individual nutrients can be listed that may pertain to your client’s unique needs. For example, maybe you want to big your client a recommendation for calcium and vitamin D. This would be a place to list that! For listing any macro-nutrient needs, that is intended to go in the white space next the macro that is listed.I hope you are able to find use in this resource! 🙂
