DRI Reference Guide for Dietitians working with children aged 9-13, teens 14-18, young adults 19-30+, and teen and adult pregnancy.

This product is a quick reference guide for dietitians working with generally healthy preteen, teen, and young adult clients. This reference provides the RDA for:

  • Vitamin A, B vitamins, Vitamin C, D, E, and K
  • Iron, Potassium, Calcium, Iodine, Magnesium, Zinc,
  • Fiber, Carbohydrate, Fat, Protein, Calorie, and Fluids

This reference includes existing nutrient recommendations for pregnancy in teens ages 14-18 and adults 19-30+. Reference values were compiled from NIH, IOM, ACOG, and USDA sources and are listed as amount/day unless otherwise stated.

I would like to acknowledge that DRI reference values have been developed based on decades of research that has historically excluded and discriminated against people of color and people in larger bodies.

Additionally, in this handout, nutrient needs based on biological sex are indicated with “M” or “F.” However, it is important to acknowledge that a client’s biological sex may not align with their gender identity or expression.

Product comes as a 2-page PDF download.
