Andrea Kirkland, MS, RD is a registered dietitian and culinary expert with over 20 years of experience and the owner and founder of Culinary Med Ed, a 2021 International Forum of Advancements in Healthcare (IFAH) Top 50 Healthcare Companies Awardee. Culinary Med Ed is an online continuing education service that provides dietitians with the courses and tools they need to empower their patients to break through their individual challenges when learning about new food selection, meal planning, and food prep practices. As a culinary course creator, Andrea is on a mission to equip busy RDs with all the recipes and real-world strategies they need to help their patients find sustainable success. Andrea has developed 1000-plus recipes geared to individuals who want to make delicious, health-boosting foods right in their own kitchens. After leaving clinical practice, she’s worked in both print and digital media as cookbook editor, recipe developer, meal planner, and digital content creator. She was a Senior Editor at Time Inc. Books and produced lifestyle books and newsstand publications for national brands including Cooking Light, Weight Watchers, Mayo Clinic, Lodge, and Weber. She’s contributed to Better Homes & Gardens, Epicurious, Eating Well, Diabetic Living, Livestrong, and Fitbit.com.
