The weight restoration process for any adolescent or teen recovering from an eating disorder is scary, overwhelming, and HARD. As the parent to the child working on weight restoration, it can be easy to want to ease tension throughout the process by bargaining with the eating disorder and asking the treatment team to lower the goal weight for their child.
