Hunger and Fullness Handout

Are you struggling to help clients connect with their hunger and fullness cues?

This handout is designed to support visual learners by pairing clear images with descriptive language to help clients better recognize and interpret the sensations their bodies send. Many individuals are highly disconnected from hunger and fullness signals, and this resource helps slow the process down so clients can begin listening to and understanding what their body is communicating.

The combination of images and words is especially helpful for clients who benefit from being shown where sensations occur in the body, including individuals with neurodivergence such as ADHD, autism, AuDHD, or OCD. The handout can be used during sessions, alongside sessions, or between appointments to provide real-world practice with tuning into internal cues.

By increasing awareness of both physical and non-physical hunger signals, this resource helps clients feel more comfortable and confident in their nutrition choices and better understand what their body is asking for so they can respond in a way that fits their situation.

Features & Benefits

What should customers expect from this product and how is it different (or better) than other resources?

This handout supports the recognition of hunger and fullness cues while building the ability to learn from and respond to those signals. Visual images help connect language to the brain and then to the overall body experience, making abstract sensations easier to identify and understand.

Clients who are disconnected from physical and non-physical hunger cues often experience significant stress when making food choices. This handout helps reduce that stress by giving clients words, visuals, and actions to match what they are feeling in their body.
