What is an Intuitive Eating Plate?

While there is no “official” intuitive eating plate, it can be helpful to visualize one when you are working on improving your relationship with food. This is one version of an intuitive eating plate, and it can be helpful to start here before moving on to other common plate models, such as the USDA My Plate or the Canadian Food Guide.

  • This free download includes a worksheet called “My Intuitive Eating Plate.” This blank plate with prompts allows clients to brainstorm what their intuitive eating plate looks like. It could be used during a session or as an activity between sessions.
