This product was created for practitioners to allow clients to explore their relationship with food related to cravings and mindful eating.
The worksheet consists of several sections and prompts that help individuals become more aware of their eating habits and how they are impacted by their environment, emotions, and feelings. The worksheet also helps individuals identify their hunger level, eating patterns, triggers for unhealthy eating habits, and strategies to practice mindful eating.
Using the Mindful Eating Worksheet can be a great way to start on the journey toward mindful eating. As individuals become more aware of their thoughts and feelings around food, they can begin to make healthier decisions and develop habits leading to a better relationship with their food.
This product is best used with adult clients working to heal their relationship with food and explore eating behaviors and patterns further.
What I like about this worksheet is that is has sections for clients to write their reflections in and includes a mindful eating guided exercise. This resource contains this space for written responses.
Ideally this will be used after education has been provided on the concepts of mindful eating and this will allow the client to practice what has been learned.

How to use:

This printable Mindful Eating Worksheet template can guide your clients to practice mindful eating and is straightforward to use. It includes clear instructions for your client to complete accurately and efficiently. It’s a quick 3 page resource!

The worksheet is interactive and encourages clients to engage in their self-reflection. There are 6 reflective questions that will assess eating habits, feelings, mood, portion choices, and exploring client reasons for why, when, and what they choose to eat along with a mindful eating exercise. The mindful eating exercise will allow the clients to practice asking themselves the prior questions as they taste a food of choice. They will be prompted to explore memories the food brings up, taste, sensation, smells and more. I found a handout like this often lacking and clients loved when there were quick questions they could reflect on themselves. The questions will move your client closer to assessing their habits and food choices that they may not normally take the time for.
