Managing Type 1 Diabetes requires a person to become their own pancreas which is no small feat! For secondary caregivers, especially those who doesn’t care for T1D kiddos frequently, managing blood sugars can be a daunting task.
This handy reference sheet contains the basics of nutrition for pediatric T1D management and is a helpful resource for any caregiver to keep on-hand. I initially designed it for educating School Nurses, however, the language can be easily understood by non-medical caregivers (extended family, babysitters, etc.) as well!
