The market of protein bars has become HUGE in the last 15 years. There are a bunch out there so it can be hard choosing which one not only tastes good to you, but fits into your diet, as well.

As a weight loss dietitian, I have so many patients come to me asking about snacks that are truly satisfying but doesn’t mess up their day of eating. I always say a high protein diet ensures that satisfactory feeling and helps my patients to stay full longer. This is where protein bars come into the mix.

This guide offers links to 15 different types of popular and dietitian recommended protein bars. I have also included the calorie content of each, as well as protein content and type of sweetener (if any).

While this guide was created for my weight loss patients, it can be used for athletes, busy parents, travelers, those recovering from eating disorders, or a busy registered dietitian him/herself!
