Juanita Weaver-Reiss MBA MPH RD LD CDE CLT has been working in nutrition since 1988. She has worked in various areas of nutrition. These have been in long term care in nursing facilities, in the hospital setting, and as a Certified Diabetes Educator in an outpatient clinic. Most recently, in July 2016, Juanita has opened a private practice, Nutrition and Health Works, LLC.It is more than just educating about nutrition or other topics. It is equally important to have powerpoint presentations, worksheets, and handouts that provide engagement and needed information in a way that can be used to motivate and inspire. Throughout her career, she has developed education materials for clients. These have consisted of patient handouts. Also in her role as a diabetes educator, she ran a diabetes support group and developed engaging powerpoint presentations. She continues to develop education handouts that are easy to read, and contain information that is usable to help clients achieve the highest level of health. The powerpoint programs contain leaders notes, participant worksheets, and are modifiable.
